Little bit of a hike, but if you time the tide and the winds just right you get one of the longest left hand peelers Florida has to offer | Towards the end of that time gap everything turns into these crazy, but makeable waist to stomach high shore-pounders. View high resolution

Q
Hey I surf at lakeworth all the time but I'm going on a road trip up to st Augustine this weekend. I figured that the break closest to the surf station would have waves. But do you know of another break that's better? Ill keep it a secret if u want
A

Depends on what kind of board you ride really.. If you’re into longboarding go down to the inlet further south (Matanzas Inlet). The spot just South in front of the rocks breaks really well during an incoming tide. At a higher tide or any tide switch your best bet is going to be 10th street. That seems to have the best bar lately. Avoid the pier though, the wave has had really bad form over there lately. Hope this helps!
